Spotlight on The Beatles

On the 5th of October 1962, the Beatles released their 1st single ‘Love me do’, and during this special club night, Cruden Bay Folk Club celebrated the work of the Beatles by performing that song, along with many more from their classic songbook across these past 61 years.

With a fantastic set list of 19 classic Beatles songs, (a playlist has been added to the bottom of this page), many of our regulars stepped up to deliver superb performances including our very own ‘Flab Four’, otherwise known as ‘The Baytles’! pictured here from left to right, Dave Cherry, Brian McAulay, Gordon Mackay, and Sandy Gauld, none of whom are still eligible to ask that age-old question ‘Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I’m sixty-four’!!
