Thank You for Being You
Love is not bound by the limits of space and time. Thank You for Being You is a song dedicated to the people who come into your life for a short time and change it forever.
“The true depth of love is not measured in hours,
but the strength of the roots that will bloom into flowers
And my love for you will bloom on in my heart
‘til the end of our days”
You Are My Home
“I wrote this song two years ago for my dear friend and performed it at her wedding. At the time I was single, and explored what it would be like to meet the person that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I imagined that home would become a feeling rather than a place or house, and I can confidently say after meeting my partner that my past self was right on track.”
Slow Down
This song was the first song we wrote together. Slow Down explores the negative effects that modern day corporations and media create to always want more. It is an anthem written from personal experience of the strains and disconnect this pressure creates in relationships. It encourages people to reclaim the driver’s seat and slow down to prioritize life over work.
Wild Mountain Thyme
“I met my partner (local to Cruden Bay) at the Portsoy Boat Festival in his full kilt attire, and he quickly introduced me to the beauty of Scottish folk music. He sent me songs by the Corries, and when I heard Wild Mountain Thyme I felt an immediate connection. I love how beautifully it portrays the imagery of the Scottish landscape and intertwines a hopeful search for summertime love. We were so excited to perform it together for the first time.
